Real Birth Knowledge is your trusted guide through the journey of parenthood in the Virgin Islands. Specializing in perinatal (meaning all of the services for trying to conceive (TTC), pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and pediatric) care, we offer a comprehensive directory tailored to the unique needs of Virgin Islanders. Our childbirth education classes, including specialized courses for twin pregnancies and cesarean births, ensure that every birth experience is informed and empowering. We believe in the power of storytelling, which is why we collect VI Birth Stories to inspire, teach, and warn. From breastfeeding support to a wealth of resources, Real Birth Knowledge is dedicated to nurturing confident and informed parents every step of the way.

Giving Birth Confidently

Each session hosts two complete Lamaze classes.

Class I: The Meaning of Birth and the Birth Process, The Changes of a Safe & Healthy Pregnancy, and Safe & Healthy Birth Practices,

Class II: Preparing Your Body, Mind, and Team for Birth and Beyond; The Postpartum Period; Effective Lactation; and Newborn Expectations and Techniques

Tuition: $375 per birthing couple

Single Session Lamaze Class

Tuition: $375 per birthing couple

Optimizing Your Cesarean

This ‘Bonus’ class is specifically designed for women who plan to have or medically require a cesarean. The Lamaze 6 Healthy Birth Practices are targeted toward low-risk births, but we know that for many women, you may have already had a cesarean and are not able to have a TOLAC/VBAC, or have high-risk complications and will require a cesarean delivery. So what can we do to optimize this experience and give the best care using evidence-based research? In this specialized discussion, we will explore the options, alterations, and alternatives that high-risk women have for birthing via cesarean.

Tuition: $185 per birthing couple

Expecting Twins & Multiples

Every so often we have the privilege of hearing from expectant twin parents. As a twin mom myself, I am overjoyed to help you prepare for your birth, parenthood, and beyond! Twin and triplet pregnancies do not need to be scary, but they are definitely different. From mono/mono, di/di, and all the other crazy lingo you’re about to learn, let me hold your hand along the way. Expecting twins is so unique that I do offer on-demand and private consultations outside of these few scheduled offerings throughout the year. Expecting Twins & Multiples is only a bonus class, so be sure to still check out our complete Lamaze classes.

Tuition: $85 per birthing couple

Online option: I am happy to meet privately via Zoom as well. Please mention that in your initial inquiry.
