Lactation consultants undergo specialized training and certification to offer support, advice and guidance to people who chose to breastfeed. Oftentimes, women do not see their OB/GYN until 6 weeks postpartum, but have questions and concerns regarding breastfeeding. Much of the time, we give up before reaching out for help.
